For Parents

The DDSB parent portal provides specific information about your child's education.

Transportation, pick-up and drop-off

Help us support a culture of respect and harmony by adhering to school bus and transportation safety rules. As your community school, we remain committed to your child’s safety. Please make note of the pick-up and drop-off routines and share them with your caregivers who may not receive our newsletter. Pickup and drop-off traffic is not permitted in our staff parking lots. We have limited availability for parking on our property and cannot safely accommodate the volume of traffic during these periods. We need to leave our entrances and exits open for our school buses and emergency vehicles.

The driveway between Vincent Massey PS and Eastdale CVI has been permanently converted to a one-way street, coming in off Harmony Road.  Cars must exit the Eastdale CVI site using the driveway onto Adelaide Avenue.  The existing driveway is split into two lanes, with the Vincent Massey PS drop-off areas along the fence line.  A staff member is available between 8:20 – 8:35 am and 3:05 – 3:20 pm to assist students exiting and entering cars.  Through traffic is to use the lane along the side of the Eastdale CVI building.

For parents and caregivers who may wish to walk their child(ren) to the door, we suggest that you park along a side street or park at the back of Eastdale CVI. It is just a short walk to the school.
